Dr. Suvarcha Chauhan, Prof.(retd.) is a highly accomplished teacher and researcher of the Department of Chemistry, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
She has been recognized among the top 2% Scientists 2025, a global ranking released by Stanford University.
Her scientific contribution is highly acclaimed through her research and academic endeavors with extensive experience of nearly 35 years.
There are more than 190 research articles she has published in various peer reviewed scientific journals of international and national repute. Her research interests span a wide range of areas of fabrication of various nano materials and their applications including solution chemistry of drugs, surfactants and other biologically active compounds.
Her work has been well-acknowledged and cited by various researchers. Prof. Chauhan has been reviewer of many research articles of various international journals.

In addition, Prof.Chauhan has presented her work in many conferences, national and international, within the country and abroad.
She has served the department of chemistry, himachal pradesh university two times in the capacity of chairperson.

17 Ph.D. students highlighting her potential to nurture the next generation of scientists. She has successfully accomplished four research projects.
The Himachal Pradesh University has also conferred the Best Researcher Award 2014 for her scientific contributions.
