Creation of new Academic Programs

• On realizing the need and importance of bringing into light the legacy of healthy Indian food and also to value its biodiversity he designed, developed and implemented Sc. in Nutrition and Food Science program in Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. The program has been designed to include scientific and analytical study of blend of continental and food. The foundation of this program is the basic concepts of traditional Indian nutritional science complemented with the theories of modern Dietetics. This program has helped the students to increase their employability
• In tune with Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision to popularize Yoga as an integral part of Indian Culture and lifestyle, he designed and initiated A. Yoga program in Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune in the year2018.This program is a unique integration of ancient Indian sciences like Ayurved, Naturopathy, Upanishads and Vedas with a prime focus on Indian tradition of Yogic Science supported by modern concepts and techniques. This program is very popular among the students.

Has successfully completed 9 research projects, of which 7 are funded by National and 2 are funded by International agencies. He has secured research grants worth more than Rs. 2.5 Crore.

  Translation Work                                                              Dr. Abhijit Joshi has undertaken mammoth and challenging work of translation of the Vedas, Upanishadas and many other hindu texts which are the oldest sacred texts on Hinduism and are the foundation of ancient Indian literature and Indian culture. These books are in Marathi language which is being translated into English language with the main intention to preserve and disseminate this knowledge and to pass it on to the next generations and also it can reach a global audience.

These books are originally written by Hon’ble Vidyanidhi Late Dr. Siddheshwarshatri Chitrav, Bharatiya Charitrakosh Mandal, Pune.
